My Long range scanners have picked up two unidentifed Boggies closing on our position at some incredible accelerations. Further my sensors and ship's computer have been unable to match the ship designs to any known race. I wish to play for you all an ISN transmission I recorded some weeks ago please stand by ...

A creepy black alien ship vaugely arachnid in design speeding through hyperspace. It slows and quickly spins around. A very wide coherent and continiuos beam of light is projected by the creepy looking vessel. The beam slews through space eventually intersecting the camera's view point.

Captains, Earth Dome Intel has received several reports of ships matching this designe laying waste to many EA and friendly alien forces.

I postulate that our "boggies" may be representatives of this deadly alien menace. If this is true I further postulate that these "SHADOW" ships won't give a hoot who is loyalist and who is rebel , but will simply and indescriminately sytematically destroy all of our vessels upon contact. I vehemently believe that those forces beguiled by the arch fiend Hauge into rebellion against the lawful government of Earth Dome should be brought to heel, but I also believe that to continue in this bloody conflict at this time would be disasterous.

Should these newcommers be shadows as I believe, we will need all our combined might to defeat them. We each have our own reasons for fighting for our respective causes, but regardless of the outcome Earth will still be ruled by us HUMANS. Not so if we weaken each other to the point where these aliens can blow right through us and eventually Earth herself.

Remember THE LINE! We cannot EVER allow an alien nation to subdue our planet. We CANNOT just roll over and let it happen.

I propose a temporary truce between Loyalist and rebel forces. I propose we draw yet another LINE here and now against the aliens who will so shortly be upon us. Each side in this civil conflict sees it as us against them, but faced with the destruction of our race we MUST see it as US HUMANS against THEM ALIENS. I propose that until these boggies can be properly identified, and if hostile, defeated, we put a halt to our mutual hostilities and re-direct them to the preservation of our species.

I suggest every ship captain and commander hold any and all fire against each other. I know this requires a level of trust that we can never reach in the time alloted us, but could you all not hold your fire unless some or any other ship fires? We can all continue to posture and position and even lock our weapons on each other, but if NO ONE fires the human race will win out. I beseach you for the future of our race, order your weapons officers to hold fire unless a ship should break the truce. I assure you the HECATE will NOT be the first ship to break the truce. All I am asking is that each captain make the same pledge on behalf of his or her own ship.
