"HULL BREACH IN FIRE CONTROL!!" Captain Wikan lurched against the
starboard bulkhead as BELLEREPHON slewed sideways under the impact of
the Particle Beam strike. "RETURN FIRE WITH FORWARD BATTERIES!!"
HAVE SH-1 INTERCEPT THOSE INBOUND FIGHTERS!!!" Regaining his balance,
he helped a rating to her feet near the charred remains of the
tactical console. Moving to his slightly singed command Chair, the
Captain punched up his personal Tacnet and viewed the situation. Both
Hecate and Jason had taken heavy damage this turn and Coeus was out
of the fight. He watched in grim fascination as SH-1 was overwhelmed
by waves of Loyalist StarFuries. As the debris cleared only the Icon
of Sorensen, the Stormhound Wing Commander blinked clear. "Damn.." He
punched up the Comm link. "Sorenson!! Withdraw from the battle area!!
You can't do any more good out there!!" A static and rage filled
retort hissed back over the link, "Like HELL I CAN'T!!!"
"Sorenson?!?"
"SORENSON!!!"
There was no answer. Sensors were having a hell of a time picking
through the debris clouds to acquire targets. Captain Wikan sat back
as the Damage Control reports flooded in....
