First off, there is now a redundant damage entry. The number in '[ ]' is the original damage rating of the ship. The next number is the current number of damage points. The numbers which follow indicate Threshold Levels
The Fighter section got a revamp to reflect more the mother ship main information section. This makes the detection reports somewhat longer, but may make it easier to read the fighter information. You tell me.
I opted to not change the format for ship locations at this time. Sorry if your scripts/tools don't like it so much; it's easier to read in general this way.
Speaking of tools, I was given a nice, basic little (and totally uncommented ;) fortran routine to do movement and range plotting. SO, this means instead of having a resolution in positions and ranges of 0.25, you will have resolutions of positions and ranges at 0.1 'inch'. Not that it matters terribly, since all weapons ranges are to the nearest inch. ;-)
It also means I can do 2/3s of the turn faster. :-)
Oh, the 'W' before HBW Capacitor entry means 'Warming'.
Now, to the current turn! At virtually the same moment the ANSHAR, APPALACHIA, SENECA, and J.JOHNSTON all opened up with their main guns. Most everyone targetted the THESEUS (go figure); only the SENECA fired on someone else. Only one ship (the BELLEROPHON) returned fire (though a couple of fingers twitched on other ships to also fire), and some fighters from the THESEUS sounded out their call. As much defensive fire the J.JOHNSTON put up, she still went 'poof'. First blood...
