FULL THRUST: Summary of Scenarios

Below is a brief summary of all my Full Thrust scenarios. Unless otherwise noted, they all take place in the Babylon 5 universe.

Scenario 1: "Hunter, Pray"
Earth Alliance freighter is trying to make for a jumpgate, with raider ships hot on it's tail. An Earth Force Heavy Cruiser makes an appearance to try and drive off the raiders before the freighter is boarded or destroyed. This takes place some time before the Great Shadow War.

Forces:

Scenario 2: "Rocky Road"
During the Earth-Dilgar War Earth pretty much drove the Dilgar out of each system they occupied, and eventually back to their homeworld. However, not every battle or conflict that occurred during the Earth-Dilgar War was a resounding victory for Earth, as this scenario demonstrates...

Forces:

Scenario 3a: "The War Prayer"
Another Earth-Dilgar War battle. Earth Force Intelligence learns that the Dilgar have developed and built a supership, a battlecruiser. The largest vessel ever put out by either side in this war. The Earth Alliance forms a task force to destroy the ship. The Dilgar learn that the EA are coming, and attempt to get their prize ship away.

Forces:

Scenario 3b: "Warriors of Death"
A sequel to the exciting and riviting "The War Prayer" scenario!

The Earth Alliance attempted to destroy the Dilgar battlecruiser Na'Dur, but as fate would have it, the Na'Dur managed to slip away. But not without considerable cost to its escorts.

The Na'Dur slipped off and began a reign of terror among the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. However, this run of destruction was short-lived, as an EA taskforce quickly caught up with her...

Forces:

Special: the Na'Dur has no missiles; there are no reloads available. No surviving ship from 3a has missiles, either.
Scenario 4: "The Pearl Necklace"
The Narn-Centauri War was winding down, the Centauri winning left and right. The Centauri learn of a heretofore unknown Narn Mining Colony and decide to swing by with a task force and destroy it. The Narn would rather not have that happen, as this is to become a new forward base for their navy. The Centauri run into a bit more than they were expecting.

Forces:

Scenario 5: "Shon'Kar!"
The Narn-Centauri War was winding down; the Centauri were winning. A Narn task force stumbles across a devastated Narn Colony and learn that while it was the Centauri who did the damage, it was a Narn vessel which led the attack! The Narn task force tracks the Centauri raiders and vow vengeance against the traitorous Narn cruiser.

Forces:

Historical Outcome:
Scenario 6: "Deliverance"
The Earth-Dilgar War was going badly for the Dilgar. In a last-ditch measure they gathered as many ships as they could in an effort to strike at an out-of-the-way Earth colony in the Vega system. Unbeknownst to the Dilgar, Earth Alliance was using this same system as a staging area for collecting a battlegroup of it's own for a massed assault on the Dilgar.

Forces:

Scenario 7: "In the Wrong Place at the Wrong Time"
An Earth Force patrol picks up a distress call and finds a mangled Narn warship - moments before a Centauri pursuit force appears!

Forces:

Special: apply 1d6-1 damage to all Centauri ships (and appropriate Threshold Checks, ignoring any Jump Engine, fighter, and HBW hits). This reflects the damage they took in an earlier battle from which the D'Ra escaped. The D'Ra also gets 1d6+1 damage and appropriate Threshold Checks. The D'Ra has to suffer enough damage to force a Threshold Check. The D'Ra's Jump Engine is marked off as being destroyed from said Threshold Checks (no matter if it really is knocked out by them or not).
Scenario 8: "To The Last!"
The Minbari were plowing through the Earth Force defenses like a tsunami crushing a shoreline. A small Earth Colony was the next destination of the Minbari Juggernaut. In a desperate attempt to buy time in order to evacuate the colony, Earth threw everything it had in the area into the sharp teeth of the Minbari Death Machines.

They had no chance, but...they had to try!

Scenario 9: "A Call To Arms"
WARNING! Do not read this any further if you have not seen the first 9 episodes of Season 3 and don't wish to be spoiled! Just return directly now to the Full Thrust Page

It was late spring, early summer of the year 2260. The Narn-Centauri War was essentially over (had been for months, except for pockets of resistance here and there). And there were unusual things going on in the galaxy. Strange ships were being sighted, strange things were going on. EarthGov had been leaning ever more and more towards an anti-alien enviroment (read: racist). The President was being implicated of a possible assassination conspiracy against his predecessor. Psi-Corps was getting to be a force that sent shivers down the spines of even mundanes. And Nightwatch! Oh, if there ever was a group more horrifying to the normal populace, they hadn't been around in a few centuries.

President Clark has issued a Martial Law mandate. General Hague has now been forced to act, and he called upon anyone and everyone who will join him against Clark to come forth now! Just hours ago there was a conflict of Earth Alliance vessels near the Io Jump Point. Hague managed to escape, but for how long will he be free? How large a force will he be able to muster to bring against Clark?? Would he even succeed??

In the system of Groombridge 1618 (spec=K8, Mv=9) a taskforce of EA ships has been working on tactical wargame practices when the Omega-class destroyer (BC/BB) THESEUS and the EA heavy cruiser STACKPOLE jumped in-system, calling for whomever would assist General Hague in this hour of need.

Not everyone participating in the wargame practices thought like Hague did. While some agreed with Hague and would side with him, others were very much by-the-book. Some were even Nightwatch...but...who was who? And who will fire on their own comrades??

Forces:

* = Hague-allied ship
Scenario 10: "Expanding..."
The Centauri have spread their aggression beyond that Narn, and now have a war on 12 fronts!

Forces:

Scenario 11: "Dissolving Alliances"
The Shadows' infiltrations and proddings break down the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. War breaks out all over the place!

Forces:

Scenario 12: "Hand of the Shadows" - speculative future scenario
The year is 2268. The Shadow War ended 7 years ago. Soon after the end of the Shadow War a race known as the the Drakh appeared and played hell with life for everyone, seeking revenge for what happened to their Masters. Other Dark Servants, however, stayed silent and quiet for far longer...with the philosophy that 'revenge is a dish best served cold...'

A lonely Earth Alliance outpost, in league with the Insurrectionists, suddenly goes offline. Fearing the worst, the 'new' EA (made up of Insurrectionist forces and allies) sent a battle squadron in to see what happened to the outpost. Unfortunately, the force would be made up primarily of EA ships; no White Stars were immediately available; a squadron of these would come as soon as they could. By chance a Minbari warship was around to assist, and a Narn cruiser just happened to come along for the ride (hearing rumors of possible Centauri involvement in the outpost's potential destruction).

The force found the remains of the outpost. Shortly thereafter, they found something else.

Forces:

Scenario 13: "A New Enemy..." - speculative future scenario
In Earth Alliance space, news is received of an unknown marauding force that has been visiting devastation on anything it encountered. The new EA, fearing a return of Shadows, sent a hastily cobbled together collection of ships to investigate the latest activity. They didn't find Shadows...but what they did find...was almost as bad...

Forces:

[historical note: events in this scenario take place very shortly after the events in scenario 12. there has not been enough time for the commanders of either side to ascertain the
Scenario 14: "A Good Day To Die" - speculative future scenario
A Kra'Vak destroyer squadron, out looking for trouble, found it.

In spades.

Forces:

Scenario 15: "Oops..." - speculative future scenario
The Kra'Vak hit the Minbari...

Forces:

Scenario 16: "Faez'En Shok" - speculative future scenario
More Kra'Vak!

Forces:

Scenario 17: "Straight Up!"
Another Narn-Centauri battle. This time, no hidden agendas, no seperate goals - it's pure and simply two fleets meeting head-on!

Asteroids.

Forces:

[historical outcome: the Ch'San was not available for this battle as she was still undergoing repairs; the 'Drushari managed to run headlong into an asteroid and totally failed to survive. Fighting was tight, with the Jumazi going head-to-head/toe-to-toe with the K'Sha Na'Hru (and quickly dying, but not before inflicting massive retaliation damage). Ultimately it came down to 2 crippled Centauri ships (the Garefa and Dortoi, 3 pts and 1 pt damage remaining respectively) with 1/2 a squadron of fighters against the two Narn destroyers...the destroyers reduced the fighters to a single fighter and removed the heavy cruiser, losing the J'Kan at the same time. The final Narn destroyer died beneath the guns of the last Centauri fighter.]
Scenario 18: "Brothers in Arms"
Civil War sparks in Minbar space.

(And you thought Earth had it bad earlier...)

Forces:

Scenario 19: "You Naked Inside Your Fear"
The events in this scenario take place late in the year 2259.

In an ever-intricate web of Centauri politics, Emperor Cartagia decided it was time to remove a fairly successful rival to power. Senator Mesa, the Rival, had been having an exceedingly successful campaign against the Narn forces. Cartagia summoned Mesa's ships back to deal with some renegade Narns who escaped to a small colony world disguised as a Minbari outpost (on a world which it is well-known in the Centaurum that no Minbari inhabit). Mesa volunteered to head this assignment up personally, and detailed 4 of his ships to the task. No Narns were going to escape his hand. And the glory he would achieve upon revealing this heretofore unknown outpost would be unparalleled.

As Mesa headed off to do his master's dirty work, Cartagia let slip a message to the Minbari government that a renegade Centauri force was about to attack one of their outposts. The Grey Council was incredulous. NO one would dare do that to the Minbari! They were about to dismiss the whole thing as a fevered delusion from the crazy Centauri (typical) when one of the Grey Council suggested sending a single ship to 'look in' on the colony, "as an act of prudence." The Council relented, and a ship was sent. The Loviatar, under the command of Strike Leader Llanez.

Unfortunately for the Minbari (partly due to the delay while the Grey Council deliberated about the plausibility of this rash act), Mesa's forces got there with plenty of time to spare and pretty much obliterated the unsuspecting and utterly defenseless colony/outpost. However, as Mesa was searching the wreckage for Narn bodies (and coming to the chilling realization that there weren't any, had never been, and he was in *deep* shit), a Minbari warship came out of hyperspace...

Forces:

Scenario 20: "A Long Way From Home"
Sheridan's Attack Fleet began it's assault on Clarke's forces. Proxima 3 had just been liberated. He had some 'new' ship (called White Stars) that were helping him out. And to make matters worse, several ships he thought loyal to Earth switched sides! What else did that Minbari-lovin' sonofabitch have up his sleeve?

Clarke called in as many EA ships as he could, but he knew that that alien-fornicating Sheridan had probably made a deal with the League of Non-Aligned Worlds to take Earth colonies when they were undefended, so he left a number of task forces strategically placed, ships that were too far out to get back to Earth in time for the Final Showdown.

Then he got word of an alien fleet, apparently manned by humans, poking about at the far reaches of Earth-controlled space...

Forces:

A non-B5 scenario!

Scenario 21: "[unnamed yet]"
A NAC/ESU encounter.

Forces (NPV):

Scenario 22: "Size Does Matter"
An NSL/ESU fleet clash.
